Jae’s Mind Game: An exercise in fulfilling your emotional needs

In this episode, I share the exercise that allowed me to change my perspective about the feelings, thoughts, and unhealthy behaviors that led me to fall into crisis. It’s what I call a mind game and it’s what helped me engage my mind, to rewrite my internal script, and redefine my sense of control in difficult moments. By seeing myself, my mind, and the moment as characters in a game, I learned to separate myself from the things I think and feel – to better understand and fulfill my emotional needs, and live my mind on my own terms.
