FEELINGS The key to human intelligence

In this video I share a tool I learned to use on the road to mental health – Feelings. My life started to shift away from daily struggles with major depression and anxiety to a place of peace and control, when I began to understand that feelings aren’t something to avoid. Feelings are the mind’s way of communicating information about our physical and emotional needs. We have evolved the capacity to stop and consider what we feel to help us register that information and improve our quality of life. If you’re ignoring your feelings, you’re missing out on vital information about your basic needs and what’s causing those unwanted feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that keep you from participating fully in life. Here I share some of the initial concepts that helped me understand feelings better and set me on the path to a happier, healthier life, because feelings aren’t just a good thing, they are the key to every human’s intelligence.
